One of the current trends in portrait photography (people - not wildlife) is texture overlay's. I did some messing around here with a spoonbill pic and gave it a vintage look by toying with the channel-mixer in PS. Just bored, I guess.
EDIT*
I should mention this was taken on one of James Shadle's legendary spoonbill excursions.

Great post processing, Philip. I like the grunge/vintage look. Glad you were bored enough to create this:) Kora

Excellent work, Philip. :) I love the texture and vintage colors, and looks like a very nice base image as well. Nice pose and action. I might tone down the long crack a bit as it draws my eye a bit.

Philip, I love the grunge look to this. The spoonbill coming out of the water is a nice capture. I like the overlay and agree w/ Christopher regarding the crack. Nice work and I hope you will share more.:)

Philip, beautiful work. It looks like an oil painting on a board - love the textures you created:)

Fantastic use of texture, Phillip! That really is a spoonbill like we've never seen before. Love the line going through the water and the way you "vintaged" the image. Very cool!
