Hope this isn't too small to see. It's a bit of a panorama shape, so hard to do within the limits of this posting size. Two cards in the snow...my first thought was "they've had an arguement and aren't speaking"
Used some polarizing and texturing through CS4 to make it more of a painting look.

Hazel, Very interesting look here. Looks like you used a Poster Effect which really looks nice. Is that a Junco in the BG? This is different and I like it.

Nice effect, Hazel..like it, well done
Only thing I might try if this were mine, in Poster Edges try sliding the edge thickness down a bit...

Neat image and I think you're right about the cards being mad! If this were mine I think I'd remove the Junco so only the cardinals expressions were the focal point. I like the way the poster edges gave the totally white snow some real texture to it! Nicely done.

Agree with Jules and would remove the junco. Love the beaks facing away. Looks like a domestic:)

Hazel, I really like what the poster edges did to the cardinals. I agree with removing the junco.

Very nice image, Hazel. They really do look like they're fed up with each other! :D Like the effect and comp.

thanks for the comments. I'll work on the junco removal....Also, yes it was poster not polarizing...got my terms confused.
