Celebrating NASA's finding of water on moon...this is a vision of what it may look like in future! :) The original is an image of moon I had taken during the day. This was a two step polar coordinate process... first used polar to rectangular option. Rotated 90deg and then applied rectangular to polar option. Changed bg to black and added the stars using noise filter followed by gaussian blur. Hope you like it...

Neat concept. Did you consider rotating it so the moon looks more like a wave rising from the sea?

Indranil, This is a very cool looking image and I like the colors. James has a good idea w/ the rotation but it is very creative and abstract. I love the starry BG.:)

James, Denise, thanks. I like the idea of the wave rising. I will try to repost something later tonight.

Nice image and application, Indranil.
I don't know if you can brighten the stars, but a little more definition might bring them out more. I can see them, but my eyes aren't what they use to be! :( ;) A narrow white border might also bring out the stars more.
Nice image though, with or without the wave placement.

Can't wait to see the repost but I also really like the original. I think the 'stars in the sky' BG is the perfect touch!
