I have plenty of cardinal images with nice clean backgrounds. I like the complexity of images like this one.
comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

Bill, I like the complexity too. The bottom is too tight and looks clipped to me. I might crop the top a tiny bit to get the branch in the URC out. I like the pose and the spanish moss adds alot of interest to me. Very nice color tones and use of filter!:)

Nice image and application, Bill.
I agree with Denise on the added room on the bottom, but would also crop the left border as well. In addition, I would add a little contrast to the image. But ... Your image ... Your vision.
Nice reflection. Just needs some room to be recognized.

Thanks guys, and gals. Pretty much in agreement that I should have cloned some space at the bottom, even though the reflection of the bird wasn't technically clipped, it ends right at the edge. Pretty easy to fix. I can't see cropping from the left due to the shortening of the bird's perch limb. Thanks for the feedback. regards~Bill

As a fan of cardinals, a pair comes to feed every morning, and a fan of this type of complexity, your creation really appeals to me. Love the tones and your subtle use of the fract filter resulted in a very appealing image.

it's not often that I like the effects of the fract. filter on bg's, but it certainly works well here Bill.. a lovely comp to begin with and I agree that a smidge more room on the bottom would make this even stronger. Very nice work!

Bill..I've said it before your mastery of this technique has me drooling, someday you should do a one man show of these images...Just lovely what you do with them
