This image of ducks on the pond was taken last year at Venice Rookery. I found it searching for some abstract images and decided to see if it was worth saving. The original was dark, but CS4 brought back the image and some tweaking brought out this one.
Modifications included; Poster Edge and Dry Brush.
Enjoy!

Really like your comp in this one Mark. Might try lightening the eye on Momma bird.

Very nice composition, Mark. It works well with the pano crop. Agree with Jackie on lightening the eye. TFS.

Very nice image and treatment, Mark. I like the pano crop, though I might prefer a little more room to the right. Not sure about that though.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.
I did brighten the eye, but I guess it doesn't come though in the post size. :(
Christopher, thanks for the comment. Just FYI the mother's eye is at the intersection of the UR 1/3 points, which was the basis for the pano crop. I like to use that and check that the open area ahead is about 2x the open area behind the subject. Not always possible, but when it is, it seems to work best for most images. Just a starting point that I locked into in this cropping.

Mark, Good suggestion about brightening the eye area. I like the composition and a lower angle would have been good also. The water color and the effect is nice.:)
