Photographed red cyclamen with a red BG, indoors, natural light, tripod, Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm macro, f16, 1/2 second, ISO 125. manual focus, manual exposure. RAW conversion in Elements 7, PP PS7--levels, contrast, maybe something else. Added two of my own textures blending in mulltiply and ajusting opacity. Added black vignette.
I was going for a red and red look and a texture that complemented the curves of the petals. I'm thinking that I might want to tone down the black

Very brave of you, Anita! I really like this but wonder too what it would be like with a heavy dose of surface blur over the whole thing? I like the black level where it is but would probably like it without as well. Love the cyclamen's position and angle.

Loved the curving away stem but overall this is just too RED for me. There is some funky stuff going on with the right-hand and bottom edges.

Anita, This is lovely and yes very red-but I still like it alot. I took it into photoshop and boosted the contrast ALOT and de-saturated the reds a bit and it looked nice, nice sure if you want to try it. I used something like 35 ish for the contrast. It's a subtle effect.

I think this looks very nice, Anita. Very red to be sure, but I don't mind that. Like the composition and vignetting.
