I don't use the Fractalius presets, however for the effects I'm interested in I always start with sharpness 100 and Line width 0. Comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

Bill, Nice work w/ the filter. I like the pose and the raised crest. The etched look on the bird is nice. The high-key BG is a good look. Well done.

Love the look. Would like to see the REDs redder. I am new to the program. When you say that you do not use the pre-sets, what do you click on in the drop-down menu?
Lynn, If you like an image, please let us know why. Thanks.

Nice image, Bill! I like the pose and treatment. Good eye contact and the bit of grass in the bill is a nice touch.

Hi Lynn. You found us, when we were talking the other day I might have neglected to emphasize this was a critique forum. In any case there is much to be learned about avian photography here, to put it mildly!
Arthur: when I say I don't use presets, I actually choose Last Used from the menu. In Fractalious, and virtually all plug-ins there are a number of parameters; the presets are parameter settings that create a specific result. In the case of Fractalius I manually set the parameters; for Sharpness I use 100 and Line width 0, for both instances where these parameters are listed. Other than those two, just playing with the other sliders, and seeing the result, works for me. In any case, what ever I end up with will be the same the next time I open the plug-in (Last used). regards~Bill
