Not out of my mouth, off my lens.
I need to swap feet but have a recalcitrant set screw. Three of four came out but one is reluctant to do so. Canon must use top-notch loctite. I'm sure I'm not the first to have this issue so before I try something I may regret hints about tricks would be welcome. Suggestions so far include superglue on the Allen wrench, easy-out, and things I would not dream of doing near a lens!
Try some WD40 or similar penetrating lubricant.

Want to try it on a gimbal and they all have their own feet. I actually think the screw head is damaged as I can't get a good purchase with the Allen wrench (not sure how this could happen as the screws that came out look pretty durable and one can't get much torque with such a tiny wrench and fingers). But I did dig out the WD-40 just in case. Live by the simple rule: it it moves and it shouldn't use duct tape; it it won't move and it should use WD-40.
As far as I know, the Wimberly, Jobu, Kirk and Induro gimbals all use standard A-S plates - I used a generic
Kirk plate on my 500 with the Wimberly for a few days, as the plate I ordered (P50) was not shipped
with everything else.
Problem solved. Since I had 3 of 4 screws out it was possible to pivot the foot around the remaining screw. All that was needed was a bit of rotation to fracture the loctite and then the screw could be removed normaly with the Allen wrench.
Good to know that the substitute plate will work for all (most) gimbals now that I've switched.
