This was taken in a creek near my house several weeks ago. I used a slow shutter speed (1/50 sec) at f/8 on
a tripod to stop the flow of water. I increased the saturation a little and cropped.
Comments and suggestions appreciated.:)

Great effect the slow shutter got you on this one Cheryl, looks like something from the 60's. Very creative.
Congrats
Cheryl, Good eye to see this. If it were mine I might go w/ a vertical and eliminate the left third of the image and make the scene more about the two similar leaves on the right that are diagonal from each other. As presented I might tone down some of the whites, they draw my eye a bit. Very creative with a Mike Moats flair to it!:)
Cheryl, this is a really nice capture with interesting details, colors, and dimensionality. I love the fact that you can see detail under the water. Very cool!!
I hope you don't mind, but I made some tweaks to your image in CS4. First I copied the image layer and set the layer property to "multiply" at 66%. Then I selected the highlights and copied them to another layer. I applied a curves adjustment to this layer and pulled the peaks down a bit, which is a good way to tone down highlights. I then applied a bit of sharpening via USM to the top and here is the result. I hope you like it. I love this image and can see it both as posted and with Denise's crop suggestion. Very nice!!
Very nice composition, Cheryl. I loke the effect around the leaves. Great colors. I think Kerry's repost brings out more depth to the image. Excellent processing.
Kerry, thanks for saving this for me:) It definitely looks a lot better. I had taken the "in camera" theme very
literally and hadn't applied sharpening or anything at all so I'm glad you did - it definitely makes a difference.
Cheryl, I couldn't resist such a nice image! I hope I didn't stretch the definition of the theme, but I don't think I did... ;) I know you would have done more with it!
I like the image Cheryl, and also Kerry's idea about darkening it a bit.
Kerry, my report card should read "doesn't follow instructions":o I reread this week's theme and after "in camera
effects" it said "can apply any post processing you'd like", which somehow escaped me. Thanks again - it
really made a big difference in how it looked.:)
kerry's repost sends it over the top for me!!! love it!! well seen and well done!
