Dave Phillips passed away this morning. It is with deep sadness that I relay this message.
I just received a copy of this image taken a year ago by his best friend Billy. Billy has been kind enough to keep us all informed of Dave's condition and to send us an image so that we could put a face with the name.
I'm very sad that Dave passed away and will keep him in good memory. Condolences to his family.

My prayers are with his family. As stated above, Dave was a true inspiration to so many folks here.
I never got a chance to meet Dave but remember very well that when he joined BPN he posted many images of Green Herons and never got tired of them. This made me think of him as a very kind and caring person.
Well I am so sad. Dave was a great friend of everyone in OOTB, I will really miss him. I still can't believe it.
