infrared motion detection wildlife cameras

Does anyone have experience photographing wildlife at night or during the day when you are out of sight? I am interested in getting or putting together a setup to do that on my property. If anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate hearing about it, and particularly about what gear you need.

I've used the commercial 35 mm and digital "game cameras" for inventory & population assessment. There are a few "high end" units that produce acceptable quality work.

For the last year and a half, I've uswed my D3 with a Phototrap - http://www.phototrap.com/index.htm , and have been well-pleased with it. As an alternative to Scott's workshop (which looks fantastic), you can spend time with the Phototrap's inventor photographing birds, bats, and/or herps at his property.
