I don't normally care for the vintage/older photograph look but you all have done some incredible stuff this week and it inspired me to take an image and give it a go.
Using Nik Color Efex filters, I added the following filters: Paper Toner, Film Grain, Colorized, & Soft focus.
Then I added a texture over the top and did final curves and levels adjustments.
Thanks everyone for inspiring me to give this a try! :D

Jules, The color toning is great! I think the grain on the left flower bottom may be a bit too much. I love the composition. The black BG is fantastic!:)
The color image in macro ROCKS!!

Thanks Denise...as this is one of the first "old time" images I've ever created I couldn't decide between too much (on the back two flowers) or less (on the main flower). Now I know which to correct!

Nice image and application Jules.
You have to start someplace, as many of us did this week! I'm with you on newer is better, but have had fun with this as well.
On the grain, I think either is right. Just balancing it would help I think. But ...
Your image ... your vision.

Very nice, Jules. Good color toning and texture. I agree with Denise on reducing the texture on the left flower a little bit.
