Hi Folks:
Here is a pair of young owls I photographed at the pool across the street from us last year. Painted them in DAP and fine tuned the owlets with CS4 using different applications of Quick Mask.

BTW: Gina has heard them hooting early morning in Eucalyptus trees nearby the last couple of days. Keeping our fingers crossed for another nesting this year :D

Gus, Nice composition and it does look alot like a beautiful painting. I love the palm fronds and the way they are peeking out, I might clone the 2 small leaves from the face of the back one. Nicely done!
I also like the way the owls peek out fromt he fronds, very painterly..TFS

Hi Uncle Gus! I just love the owls' heads stacked up like that and their eyes peering out!! Very artful comp and treatment and I like the palm fronds with their patterns. The owls look like they got snowed on!
Love the peering COMP, the position of the two birds, and both the tan and the green palm fronds. What's missing is their piercing stares so I did some Eye Doctor work.
