I like the relaxed pose, angle, BG and sharpness and the different size of the pupils adds interest. It doesn't look so chilly. :)

Grace, I love it. You have an awesome BG, yet you also show the habitat of the upper side of their nests and their usual pose. I also like the freckled eyes in this one.
Like the low angle, sharpness, and BG. Wish the left eye had a little less shadow on it. Even though it was chilly, it had to beat the Northeast. :)

Well done Grace. Most would have composed this differntly , but this is very nice and it works well. I might just tone down the base as it seems a bit bright.

I like it: COMP and BKGR. I would have liked to see a slightly clearer view of the bird's left foot. Moving a bit to either side might have yielded that.... Did you park in a parking lot by a park??? BTW, it has been 27 degrees down here the last few mornings....

Agree with Artie about the foot, especially given the little tuft of OOF grass in front of it.
I don't know what color the earth was there but it looks a tad hot...although maybe it really is that bright?

Nice comp and a super clean BG. I like these one-legged poses and the flecked irises of the owl down there.

Thanks to everyone who looked and commented on my photo. Artie, Yes...parking lot by a park. To be honest, I didn't even notice the foot...will have to pay more attention. As to "hot" earth, it is white sand. Yes, this was taken later in the morning than I would have preferred, and the sun was getting high (hense the shadow and the bit of harshness) but that's when he chose to come out and pose like this. Thanks again.
