I feel like I'm living in Florida with all the Egrets hanging around the boat basin at my local botanical garden. On some days there are 20-25 Egrets and Herons feeding on Gizzard Shad that are schooled up in this little cove. I have never seen (in person) Egrets catching fish in-flight until these last few weeks. That image has eluded me thus far but I have plenty of in-flights as a result.
C&C welcomed.

I like the pose. Cool!
Image is a bit dark ( about 2/3 EV). If you correct for that possibly a bit of sharpening and you might bring far under-wing up in exposure a bit too.

The composition would me much better with more room at the bottom and less on the top. I like the open beak a lot. Too bad that the left wing´s tip is overlaping with the head.

Thank you for the replies. The bg is dark but the whites seem ok on my monitor..this was shot in late afternoon light and part of the boat basin is in shade and the Egret flew into a spotlight. The Egret seems sharp enough on my monitor. If I bring the exposure up on the far wing (which is in shade) I introduce noise and doesn't look "real" with the way the light is.
Is it a total loss to have the Egrets head intersect with the wing? With that wing being shaded and the head lit up I would think the eye is drawn to the expression on it's face rather then it crossing into the wing. I do feel it's a bit cramped below and behind.
