I am considering a trip to the Orlando alligator farm on my 65th birthday, feb 5.Is this a good time for breeding,nesting photography? Thank you.
February is probably a little slow. Things don't really get going until April, and then stay busy until the end of June. Weather can play a big factor (water levels and temps) and can slow down things by a few weeks to a month. But early February is not a peak time for visiting.
There will be fewer birds and not in breeding plumage until around mid March. Still worth a visit if in the area but it probably won't be hoppin.

Hi Don: Early this year, I began photographing @ Gatorland at the end of January and very much enjoyed it. It's better later on, but it's still totally worth the visit in February.
