This is another of the images I took this summer almost at sunset during our last blur week. The egret was moving in the shadows as it picked up fishes. Cleaned a couple of distracting brushes, darkened the bg and applied deNoise. The settings were
40D Sigma 50-500mm @ 500mm
1/20 sec, f/8 Mode: Tv Metering: Multi-segment Exp comp: -1 1/3ISO: 100

Indranil, I really like this a lot. The bg foliage looks great and the light on the reeds on the left are really nice.
Very nice mood created w/ the lighting and the blur. I like the reeds in the BG and feel that the yellow ones on the left help to balance the comp.
Actually I think the background and vegetation is fantastic. Looks like it belongs in a Henri Rousseau painting. I'm not too happy with the egret, since the blur doesn't seem to indicate motion. If it where mine I'd use the background, clone out the bird, and paste a sharp bird there. But that's just me. regards~Bill
