I photographed this spider web this summer. I applied an orton effect, converted to B&W, added light rays, applied a blur overlay, and added a white vignette. I like how the processing made it look like the web is shining with light. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated!

Like the patterns, Christopher.
However, I would tone down or remove the white vignette. Doesn't do it for me. But ...
Your image ... your vision.

Christopher, Very nice looking image. The blur overlay and the orton give it a soft glow that I find appealing. I like the vignette.-it doesn't appear overdone.
I'm not saying try it w/ this one because I like the way it looks as is. But just as a side note-sometimes you can create a bit of depth by using the pinch tool for the center, you probably already know that but I thought I would throw it out there for anyone else that was viewing and wasn't aware of the tool or it's use. Thanks Christopher for letting me give a tip in your post!

I think the vignette adds to the spooky feel of the image but might tone it down just a little bit so it appears more "fog" than "vignette". Neat technique you used to get it to this point, Christopher.

Thanks a lot Mark, Denise, and Jules. Much appreciated. I think the idea of toning down the vignette a little is good. I'll be sure to give it a try.
Thanks for the tip on the pinch tool, Denise. I had never thought of that. Can't wait to try it out. :)

I love the effect. Would love to see a version with blacker blacks.
