I used two photos to create this image, a photo of our barn which I had posted a couple months back and a photo of a broken window frame on one of our goat sheds. I used channel mixer and hue/saturation to tone the image, added some noise, and applied the dust & scratches filter. I also added a vignette and blurred the edges a bit. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated!
Christopher, What a great idea. You executed it very well also. At first I thought the image inside the window pane should be slightly skewed but the more I look at it the more it looks right as is. Very nice color toning and aging. Might tone down the hardware a bit. Very creative and original! Makes me want to go out and find an image to do this with!!

Christopher, Nice repost. I just added "Windows" to the Upcoming Theme Board as this has given me some good ideas. Should be interesting to see what everyone comes up with.

Curious(wanting to learn) why did you apply noise and then dust & scratches filter.
Doesn't the dust & scratches filter remove/soften the noise/imperfections....was it applied globally?

Dave, I actually applied the dust & scratches filter globally first to soften the details and then added the noise. Sorry if that wasn't clear in my description. I processed the two photos separately, though I used a similar process for both.
