After seeing some of Christopher's work I am interested in learning more about toning. I found this tutorial, and downloaded some of the actions and quadtones. http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tools/actions-tutorials/duotone-tritone-quadtone-actions-tutorial.html This was called soft sage. I also learned a lot from reading Julie's tutorial at the top of the page. Thanks Julie!

Beautifully done, Jackie! I liked it when I saw the thumbnail and I really like it full size. The toning is so subtle but so beautiful at the same time you almost think this is the color it's supposed to be. Just lovely!
Perfect comp as well...lovely angle to the blossom and just enough room at all four sides. I like the subtle frame also - it all works well together.
You might consider a tiny bit more sharpening on the back blossom but it's also fine as is - here it gives a nice soft mood to the image; sharpened I think it would change that but still maintain the integrity of the print.

I agree, It's very well done. The sharpness is great and yet it has a soft glow to it. Very nice toning and I like the comp. very much. Thanks for the link.

Yes it is, so much fun to play with subtle hues, and to put them to print. Quite challenging to get a combination that you like!
