I was looking at the series that the last image was from and thought this might be better. Spent more time on the conversion, and noticed that the B&W helped subdue the distracting green background. As far as the crop goes, this is very close to full frame; wanted to get in on the action. comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

Bill, This I like! Great eye contact and action captured-really holds my interest w/ that nice clear eye. I actually think the tight crop works well here. Color tones look good -I might tone down the two grass blades on the right just a bit. I think leaving the fish bright draws you in to that area,so I would leave the fish as is. Nicely done.

Hi Bill, Love the pose and action here! The tight crop works well and perfect feather detail. Personally I would consider blurring the BG some because, for me, the BG is too busy.

And here's a vertical crop for your consideration. Why vertical? Because all the action here is around the head and I don't really think you need all the rest of the bird or the additional BG to make this image sing.

Great idea Julie! I like Christopher's idea of blurring the background as well. So many images, so little time. regards~Bill
