I wanted to do some experimenting today with taking IR images beyond the typical IR landscape and see whether (and how well) I could incorporate some of the more creative techniques that I have been using for color images into the IR images. This is an example of some IR motion blur images that I created today.
Canon Rebel XT converted to IR by LifePixel; 24-70mm f/2.8L lens; handheld.
1/8 sec @ f/22; ISO 100; 0 EV; FL 40mm
Ed, I'm liking this ALOT! The dark squiggly lines add alot of depth to the image. I might tone down the 2 whitest spots at the bottom area(base of tree and on the left side)-very minor. This is really nice!
Thanks, Denise. It's really cool when you have an idea and it seems to work. Not all of my brainstorms worked for me today. That why I called it Infrared Motion Blur Experimenting.

Very cool and way OOTB! I had the same thoughts as Dave - the branches at the top are like arms reaching out. Very spooky.
