Great preening pose showing the blues on the back beautifully. BG works well and that perch has plenty of character but maybe a little oversharpened. Good DOF with critical focus on the eye.

great exposure, pose and colours - and in this shot the head-position works for me as you can see the eye and my eye is drawn to the vibrant plumage...
Lovely feather detail, color, BG and sharp where it counts.
I really like images like this which show the fine detail of normally hidden feathers such as on the extended wing here. Great capture. DOF is good. Would have been even better if you were another 30-45 degrees to the right with respect to the bird but still very good.
