he weather has been dreary here in New England. I went to Sandy Point twice this week but could find no sun. :(

Here is a dunlin - D300s 600 VR with 1.7 tc. (Auto) ISO 1600 - 1/250 at f 6.7 (wide open).

I think you're right, Manos...line up the eyes and one is sitting higher than the other. Still...great stare and wonderful, clear details in the bird. Lovely BG as well.

I noticed that but kept it as it was due to the lean in the legs. Will give it a rotate, however, to see what I see.

If you go by the eyes and everything else it would need CW not CCW rotation (unless I am nuts....)

Love the high key look. Anyone care to age this bird?

I really like your comp and the head-on stare you've captured here... your rotation in the repost looks good to me. Nice work!

Great headon shot Allan, and well done with the rotation. I can see this as a vertical too.

Love the simplicity of this image creation and I think that no real direct eye contact with the pose really adds to that.

Crop is absolutely perfect IMHO and I enjoy the high key presentation.

It was CW. I can't remember offhand how much. I simply used the guides in PS and kept rotating several times till it looked o.k.
