Nicely done. I like the wing position and the intense blue color. I wish the upper BG were less intrusive. I would especially want to reduce the visibility of the "V" shaped effect just over the back of the heron.
Great color on the bird and looks sharp. I would favor a tighter crop to show the bird more and agree with altering the BKGR
