Captured form the O'Brien boat in Witless Bay, NL, hand held from the boat. It gets pretty close to the island. Steep angle, but that's where they were.

It is so much fun to see and hear the interaction of these guys. I like also like the BG and would run a bit NR on the rocks in the BG and might tone down the whites a tad.
Lovely shot, and pefect light for this fellows. The only thing I don't really like is the dark diagonal shadow (crack in the wall?) behind the right bird. But I am sure this was the only way to shoot the picture from the boat.

What a difficult image to capture! You have brilliant white juxtaposed with black, so something had to give. In this case what I've lost on my monitor is delineation of the eye detail of the proximal bird. But this is nevertheless a very pleasing image!:)

What incredibly difficult conditions here! I have had one shot at these and didn't manage to show any eye detail, so I think this is admirable! I especially like the "laughing" pose of the upper bird.
Hi Fabs, I think the image is excellent, I remeber that moss on the cliffs well. Is this from '07?
Strange how the bird on the right looks fine with the steep angle while the bird on the left does not....
Well exposed Fabs, and I like both poses. Another vote for some NR on the BG.
Just wished for more DOF fabs, Loved the interacting pose and the rock BG adds well.
