Loved the pose angle and feel here, just wished for more space around, still loved it, congrats..
Hey Paul, this one nicely complements my stretching pintail lady I posted yesterday. If lucky I may get a chance with a fully dressed male too! Great low angle. I would only clean out the dark OOF debris around the foot and wing edge. Very appealing image :-)
I like the angle, pose, soft light and eye contact. I agree on the stuff around the raised leg that is a bit distracting but if I remember correctly, you don't like removing things.
Paul, very lovely image. Love all the detail in that stretched wing and the brighter colors on the wing and bill really look great against that BG. Only wished for a little more room up front. Congrats
Paul:
Elegant indeed. Sharp, well exposed, wing position lovely.
I do agree about the OOF BG elements behind the bird.
I might consider a sliver more room to the front (as mentioned by Brian)
On my work monitor, I wish the image was just a bit brighter. I will check again at home.

I think this is a stunner, Paul. Wonderful angles and beautiful pose. This is a species that I think is difficult to get a superb image of, and you have done it. I agree with the nit on the little debri---and I think it could go a notch brighter.
Great Image!
Paul, Really nice pose and it does have an elegant look to it. I agree a bit more room up front would be nice but not critical.
Very cool pose showing part of the speculum and great feather detail. Shame on the distractions in the back intruding on the space.
Well Fabiola my dear--maybe I leave one laying around for you so you can catch me! Kind of keeps things spiced up a bit! He-he....
STUNNING!!
Love it. Always like these shots where the wing touches the water. I don't mind the minor distractions in the forground nor behind the bird--that's nature.
Paul, sweet capure and nice timing in this one.
Love the stretch and low angle.
The stuff around does distract a bit...but other then that sweet image.
what a sweet image Paul, I like the light, and details considering the soft light, the pose, and sharpness of the moving wing are superb., tells a cool story.
Hi Paul,
Nice photo, the spread wing pose gives it that specisl something. This is a species we take for granted in St.John's as our Pintails have become basically tame.We have unlimited photo ops with Pintails 365 days a year we often don't take advantage of it.
