Pretty subject and interesting perch. I would probably crop a bit tighter and/or clone out the leaves on the left and branch on the right.
I really like this Rob. Great looking bird well captured. Excellent eye contact, background, exposure and details. I don't mind the perch. I would probably clone out the OOF branch in the bottom right corner.
Lovely details Rob. The soft light suits this and can only add another vote for that lr branch. WD!
Beautiful one Rod, loved the pose and details, beautiful looking bird too, congrats..
Good looking bird. Good BG. Perch is a little busy, but has good character with its mosses and lichens. I'm undecided about the leaves in ULC, but would definetly remove the branch in LRC. Sharpening looks a little bit much?
I like the soft light, angle, eye contact and BG. I agree on sharpening a bit less and if it were mine would remove the OOF branch in the lower right.
I'm not sure I have seen an image of this species before, thanks for sharing.
Another vote for removing lower right branch. I don't mind top left leaves and feel it gives some balance here. The perch complements the bird well but I'd be tempted to also clone out the horizontal oof branch beneath the one he is standing on. Congrats
Rob, the overcast conditions have helped you, and you have captured excellent detail. I find the perch has character, but another vote for removing the branch LRC.
Nice pose and perch, very sharp.
