Good timing on your part, and nice wings up position. I don't mind the wing blur...good sense of speed depicted this way. The blue eye looks stunning, but it seems a bit soft - bill looks sharp...with the sharpest part of the image being the feet. A bit more contrast would help give this image some needed "punch".
Love the wing position. With the highlights on the bright side already I would darken the mid- and dark tones to give it more punch (rather than boost the contrast).
