Mirenchu, Really beautiful colors in the Callas. I like the soft yet detailed look you have achieved. I might bring it down just a teeny bit in the frame or add a tiny sliver to the top,if it were mine. The black BG really sets this off. Very nicely presented!!!
this is beautiful, you have a real talent/gift for working
the flora images. I had to play a bit as the tightness in the frame
and the centered position of the green stem at bottom seemed a bit awkward.
Added canvas, rotated cw about 5º, and adjusted mid levels just a bit.
It's only an option to explore.....you will come to learn that I do a lot
of repost playing and only do it as a learning exercise....for all of us
to broaden our visions
Dave, Nice repost. The image is even more pleasing!
Thank you very much! The repost looks very nice!!! : )
Excellent image and composition. Love the soft look and the beautiful light.
I like the composition, image and capture Lady Mirenchu. The heart shaped outlines is different, I like it very much. The texture and soft feel to your ladies are superb, and the dark background compliments them quite well...well done...
Nice image and application Mirenchu.
Mirenchu, can you talk a bit about how you lit this? I love the lighting!
Thank you for your comments. Here is a little explanation of how I did this image.
When taking the picture, I did it in the morning when the sun is coming thru my window and hits the white floor giving a nice reflection. As a backdrop I use a black kind of black cardboard, around $ 15.00 that is used for displays and that I bough it at Office Depot and a piece of black fabric that I put on the base. Also I use what the florist name "Frog" http://www.save-on-crafts.com/sodefl.html to hold the flower in place. In this particular image I used the natural light that was coming from the window. Sometimes I use a little flash light that I bought at the supermarket for around $7.00 -not in this image-.
For this image I was trying to do the "Orton Effect" I took one image out of focus, and the other one sharp. I upload both in CS4 and choose the sharp one as "background". Then I placed on top of it the out of focus one on a layer on top of the first one (background) then I selected it from "normal" to "screen" mode with a 100% opacity. Next I increased the hue and saturation. I made another blank layer and use a gradient to darken the stems...that was it.
If you have any questions, please let me know! You have to bear with me...English is not my language! : )
Well said Lady Mirenchu...:)
Your English sounds great to me! Thanks so much for the explanation. It really helped me envision what you did.
Mirenchu, Thankyou so much for your explanation. I can't wait to try it!!
one fabulous image with great effects , Dave's repost takes this to top

Beautiful colors and I love the composition with the two blooms intertwining. I really appreciate your detailed description of how you did it.
