lol you almost sound disappointed Jim. It's a wonderful image, I like the wing position with a bit of the far wing showing and the head angle is perfect. Just curious why you left so much of the frame to the right of the perch?
Love the wing position, the BKGR, and the loverly COMP. Did you use AF for this one? But my favorite part of the image is the feet.
Thanks, Artie. The feet were my favorite part too. I used AF and tracked him thru several frames of flight and the landing. I also got a few like this using the 2x. See, you should have joined me.
killer shot Jim, congrats., probably the best flight image of a kf I have seen.
Jim wonderful image. Great head turn too. I don't believe that I've ever seen a photo showing the underside of a KF's feet.
Oh man.... This is really great. Love the action you captured here. This is right up there with the best of the best for kingfishers. As I recall you have a kingfisher that might be a better than this, but I really like this. First one of these I've ever seen with the bird coming in for a landing. Congrats on this image.
killer image , nearly everything spot on , looks like he was posing for you ,
In ideal conditions , I would have prefered bird looking towards perch

this is soooooper Jim, but the feet are so sharp and detailed......love it.
Like seeing the underwing fan as well.....a rare view
Pretty darn good Jim! Congrats!
I echo Doug. Pretty darn good. Love the under-feet being visible...
