Captured this little belted kingfisher in Viera one morning during the rain. I was able to photograph him from the car which worked out well since they are so timid and I did not have to get wet..

I should go to Viera. I would sing in the rain if I captured this elusive bird.
Great shot, Judy Lynn.

Beautiful Judy, nice colors in BG, rain is a plus, I like the perch too, perhaps a nit pick is that it appears some feather detail has been lost to NR. TFS.

Love the mood of this one, Judy!
Maybe lighten around the eye a small amount?

Judy--If you love to shoot in the rain as this picture demonstrates, then I would join you anytime my dear! With your blessing of course and I assure you I would be on my best manners, promise! I love to shoot in the rain and when it's snowing. The worse the elements, the more I love it. Nits mentioned----- nice with the crossed diagonals formed from the rain and the perch. Looks a tad oversaturated here and you might consider some off the top and maybe the right.. I've yet to get that "killer" kingfisher shot...

Hi Judy! I like the perch, the compo, and the rain droplets. I agree that some feather detail seems to be lost, possibly due to NR. I would lighten the area around the eye a bit.

A really nice shot Judy and good for you to get it. Rain really adds a lot to the photo. Nicely done. Dave

Very nice, Judy--Lucky you to get so close. I agree that you could lighten around the eye.
Come on out to the PNW--we have lots of rain out here!!

Love the perch and BG Judy, the rain really adds to the image.
I may consider cloning out the upper perch.

Lovely image and the rain certainly added to the richness of the colours and I like the fact that you didn't remove the portion of the perch behind the bird.
