Love the pattern on the breast feathers and what a great HA on this one! I do wish the two whiter areas around her bill weren't quite so white. I think the centered appearance works here but wonder what it would be like with less on the left side and a tad more on the right?
Julie, The white spots were not blown in the original color image-I guess when I did the conversion I added a bit too much contrast. I re-did the image and hope this is better.Thanks.
It does look better. I realize they weren't blown in the original post but they sure were harsher than the rest of the feathers. I don't know if I've ever noticed that area on a female mallard before - I'll have to check it out next time I'm out ducking!
Excellent HA and details, Denise. Repost looks good, though I think it could use just a little more room on the right.
