I got this idea in my head when I saw this juvenile Cooper's Hawk image in my downloaded files. It wasn't quite sharp enough for Avian or ETL, as I was hand-holding the 400mm f/5.6 with 1.4x extender and had to use manual focus. I thought it was a good image anyway, so I did some tweaks to it and got this. Couldn't begin to remember all the steps, but there was a bi-color filter and some masking involved. :D

Hi Kerry, I like this a lot. Great base image and your choice of the background color and the stained glass effect makes this an excellent composition.

Kerry, Very unique look and a wonderful piece of art. I like the mosaic look to the hawk and the orange BG is very lovely. Nice job.

Here is the base image, as cropped. The clouds were painted in with a brush then I used the clone stamp to eliminate repeated patterns. Used Topaz Remask for the mask, which I cleaned up with a single-pixel brush.

Hi Kerry, Nice PP and good comp. The orange backround grabs ones attention with interesting filter effect on the bird...

Kerry, A really gorgeous Coopers Hawk to begin with. The PP reminds me of Navajo jewelry. Really beautiful
against the bg.
