First let me say that this is a lovely base image to work with. Thanks Denise!
I wanted to see light coming out of the flower, so I first used the "sunshine" filter in Color Efex Pro to get the internal glow. Then I used a watercolor setting in Topaz Simplify to get the watercolor look, possibly my favorite. I wanted to see some edges, so I went back to Topaz Simplify and did a few tweaks to get just a hint of edge definition. :)

Hi Kerry, This is one of Dave's images-just my sticky. Beautiful colors and effect here. I really like what you did. I like the watercolor filter also-it's one of my favorites. Very nicely done.

Hi Kerry,Nicely handled! I like the glow effect you created and your choice of colors. I might take out the small red area on the left since to my eye it doesn't flow with the rest of the effect. Again, good job!

super concept with wanting the light shining through.....nicely executed.
You may try the simplify on a new layer and do some mask revealing
for the edges also

Beautiful image, Kerry! The colors and the glowing effect are perfect. Might even want to try a closer crop focusing in more on the center of the flower.
