Looks like the Looks like the Speedlite 580EX II is the best flash going these days. Is that accurate? Is there any reason to buy anything else for bird work?
I currently use Speedlite 580EX II. Prior to that I used 550EX.
They are very similar in performance.
The 580EX II works great. Rumor has it that Canon's about to announce a new high-end flash though.
