This was taken in the woods behind our house. I posted the original sepia shot of this a while back in the landscapes forum. For this version, I added some faint light rays and applied a gaussian blur overlay. Any C&C are welcome!

Christopher, This has a very peaceful quiet look to it. Your treatment looks like a toned down Orton effect that I find very pleasing. Nice composition and the lighting is special.
Christopher, Nice, soft feel to the image. The sepia sets the mood and creates a sense of mystery...Nicely handled!
this is such a sweet image
Lovely sepia tones here

Denise, you're right that the "gaussian blur overlay" is like a toned down Orton effect. What I do is I duplicate the image layer, blur it, and then lower the opacity of the layer so that the original image shows through. The amount of blur and the opacity can be varied depending on how soft an effect you want. I find it very useful for when I want a soft Orton-like effect without the high contrast that the Orton effect produces.
Thanks for the comments! Much appreciated.
Christopher, Thanks for the tip-I'll give it a try!
Nice image and effect, Christopher. Well done.
