actually my ex-cat....the one that got out and ran away a while back.
Started out with DAP of course and Benson w/Tarbell palette on Impression+ setting.
This gives pastel like colors, esp if you mask blur the bg and let it broadstroke the color
when underpainting.
thanks for looking and c/c and opportunity to share

Hi Dave, Good job on both examples. Nice to see you use another filter variation which gives an entirely different look.

Dave, The really like the first one mainly because you have kept the detail in those beautiful eyes. The only thing I would wish for is that the mouth had a bit more definition.

Dave, beautiful work on the first image and I love the "Picasso" cat also. I'm impressed:)

Dave, I love the details in the first post and the beautifully rendered BG. The eyes are very strong! Well done. The second post has me intrigued! I too think it looks like a Picasso!!

Thank you friends, and Patti I totally agree about the mouth(good point).
Notice the original has very little contrast definition there.....I should have worked that a bit
before running in DAP
And Denise, Cheryl and Dave.....glad you like the more abstract look

Beautiful, Dave! Love the pastel look of the first, and the second version is great too.

Hi Dave, I like both versions although favor the second one a bit more. To me they are so different and unique presentation. Agree with Cheryl and Denise on second one being more of Picasso's sketches. The colors and the lines makes this intriguing. Excellent work.
