This is my neighbor's shih-tzu. I'd used a white back-drop, so it was easy to convert to B&W and make this more HK. My own critique is that I blew out the highlights on the top of the dog's head a little too much in the conversion. Thanks for looking.

Cindy, You did a wonderful job with this!Love the detail in the dog,his pose and the soft muted colors. I also noticed the slight detail in the sheet or covering the dog is laying which says just enough. Since you have double catchlights in each eye I might take out 1 in each. Well done!!

Thanks, Dave, Denise and Hazel. Thanks for the catchlight tip, Dave. I'll take care of that before I give a copy to the owners.

Hi Cindy, I know this is for clients ......so may not work......but i would go for more of a pano looks with some off the top......about 1/2 off above the head.....just because it emphasizes the excellent job you did with the conversion and pose of the dog! Either way......very nice job with the HK look and conversion!

Don't mind the blown bits, after all if I understand correctly HK is a bit like that and it may be forgiveable? Happy to be slapped into line if I am wrong please. :D
Lovely image Cindy. Cute doggie too!

Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions. Roman, I'll give the pano a try. Akos, I'm just learning about HK, too; I don't think the blown highlights are too bad for this rendition.

Very nice Cindy, I love the details and the teeth:). Might add a few more lines from the blanket or whatever he is sitting on so he looks more grounded. Just a thought.

Thanks, Jackie. I'd debated about how much of the backdrop to leave, but I agree a little more might help.
