I have always known that birds and reptiles were close relatives, but I had no idea how close until I captured this rare and elusive ravenzard in Yellowstone National Park!:D
So much PS work here I don't think I can even remember it all, but the best part is the new Topaz Detail plug-in which was the final step. Masked the detail layer and brushed out the detail in the BG.

Kerry, I was going to download the new program today but got side-tracked.How do you like it? I see no halos. The water drops on that Raven are great, Very cool looking Morph and the PP looks great!!

Hi Denise, I just downloaded the plugin this evening and this was my first use of it. I think it's pretty cool and love the fact that it also has "anti-detail" presets, like you would use for people portraits and such. Besides, if you are a repeat customer you can't beat the $20 price! Will be trying it out for more "serious" bird shots. ;)

Another great mutation Kerry! I like the fact that the blue-black of the raven matches the blue of the lizards chin area! This IS the missing link between birds and reptiles!!

Love it, Kerry! (Although, I don't think I'd want to run into him at Yellowstone.) Super job with the merge.
Thanks for the info about Topaz detail plug-in, too.
