Was thinking I should take a slice off the top?Any opinions?

Hi Denise, I think you could go either way. As is or crop down to a little above the larger bush above the trail.
Nice effect and interesting image!
Dave, Those were my thoughts exactly!!Thanks.
With wide screen TV's and everything like that I seem to be preferring the wider version of photos than the typical crops that we are used to. Therefore I think cropping something off the top may be beneficial. It does look pretty good the way it is though.
Thanks Nick for your thoughts. It is a tough one for me to decide.
Hi denise
I like it the way it is. If I was going to crop it, I would crop off the bottom about 5/8" which would which would contain the complete photo with the bottom rather tight opening up to the top evenly. Use your side scroll bar and take a look at the effect.
Just a thought
Uncle Gus
Thanks for the input Uncle Gus and great to have you back!!You've been missed!!
Great-looking scene, Denise. Like the effect you used. Personally I think it's fine as is!
Thanks Christopher!!
awesome effect here....for my taste I would work some soft light blend
burning around the trail, so it becomes a focal highlight.........keep the trail bright,
but darken around it, especially lower right.
just a few thoughts....this is really nice
Not sure if this is what you meant and I hope if it is I didn't over -do it.
I really like it Denise....the trail is much more obvious to me and my old diabetic eyes
Thanks for your help as always I appreciate it alot!!
I like the crop as is. The trail leads my eye nicely into the distance and to those ridges afar. The sky is dynamic enough to not crop and the incline to the left gives me the sense of height that balances the overall theme of walking in the mountains. Which is something you cannot perceive to the same degree if you crop it from above and rely on the distant ridges to provide the same sense of scale. I am on drugs perhaps. :D
Akos, Thankyou for your perspective on that and I think you are right and I will leave it as is.
Denise, I like it as is, but as you asked for cropping suggestions ... ;)
I would crop just slightly at the top, to the bottom of the vertical rockface. I would also crop the left margin to align with the bottom left corner of the trail. This would give you diagonal lines at the trail base, the bottom of the vertical rock face and where the two lines intersect on the left.
Just my $0.01 worth. Your image ... your vision.
Mark, That is definitely a good cropping suggestion and one I will most certainly consider.Thankyou for taking the time to post it.
I was just there last Saturday. isn't it amazing. cool processing.
Michael, It is amazing. Did you hike all the way down? I wish I had your landscape talents. Most of my shots are from the trails!!
