nice visual Dave, or my taste the horizon dividing the image in half is not optimal.
A little lower would have put the cross in a clear sky and still given the view of
a vast area
Very peaceful-looking scene, Dave, with a great view. Like the treatment you used. I agree on the position of the horizon.
I like it Dave, but it would have been nice to also move a little to the right and have symmetry in the trees. Closing the area of sky, by the left border with the left tree, I feel might have been a little stronger comp.
However, your image, your vision. ;)
Hi Mark, You brought up an interesting point. I looked at it and could crop a bit off the left and fill the rest in.
I'll see what it looks like.
Dave, Regarding getting lower in the image to have all sky around the cross...good point however the lower I would get the less of the distant landscape I would see. If I could get back there I would try your recommendation and see how much I would actually lose...I could see how the image could be stronger.
Appreciate the comments!!
I made some changes from the original. Cropped a bit off the left and filled in the leaves to give the image more balance. Cropped some off the top so the horizon line is further away from the center and took the leaves away from the top of the cross to eliminate the merge. Improvement???
Looks good. Nice scene.
