Here's a photo I took about two years ago. It was taken with a Fujifilm S6000 in all manual mode on tripod. That camera is not a DSLR; it's a bridge camera. Sorry that I don't have the the EXIF now and so can't tell you anything about the ISO, f-stop, etc. Obviously, I also converted the final image into B&W, toned it, and use radial blur to blur the background.
I intentionally left something in the background to try to add some depth to it.
Anyhow, C&C welcome and much appreciated !!
Thank you very much for looking !

Beautifully done, Desmond. The exposure and the quality of lighting really take this over the top! I agree that the darker areas add to the dimensional effect but would still think of opening them up just a tiny bit more - especially in the front area of the lower petals just so we can peek deeper into the flower. This is really well done - it's not easy making a black and white with this quality of lighting and mood and you did an excellent job.

Hey Desmond, Great job on this! Love the lighting and the detail you retained in the flower. My only suggestion being a bit more room on the bottom and left. Not much...just to get the flower away from the edge...

I love flora in B&W. I agree with Dave in adding some canvas on the bottom.
