Canon EOS 40D, 70-200mm at 70mm, f/32, 1/13s, ISO 400. Converted to IR in CS4. This was taken in Saranac Lake NY with some of the Adirondack High Peaks in the distance. I liked the original composition but I just started looking at stuff in this forum and decided to play with B&W/IR converter in CS4. Not much else was done with this image.

Hey Nick, I like this alot. The centered leading line works very well here along with the IR conversion. I like the fact that the tracks are leading you to the dark mountains which immediately grab my attention. The angry looking sky is important and fills that area which if blank would hurt the image somewhat. Well executed!

I wouldn't do a thing to this. I love these types of shots and love the background hills which the tracks lead you too. Hang this one up.

Nick, I like it too. Well done. The split down the middle is perfect.

Beautiful shot. I almost thought it was done with a tilt/shift till I saw the F/32. Really deep DOF. I agree this is a hanger. Well done

Nick this is AWESOME! Love the treatment. In Australia you would get arrested for standing on train tracks! I am NOT kidding. We are the most overregulated country in the world!
