5D, 500mm, 2xTC, ISO320, 1/125, f/9, car as blind. Taken at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve on December 3rd. The hawks always preferred the few man made perches on the entry road to hunt from -- not attractive, but it did place them close to the road!

Nice pose. Light is nice and the image sharp. Beautiful background.
Nicely done.
Hi Chris!!! :)
Beautiful light sculpting the bird's body. I can count the feathers....
Say hi to Stan from me :)
Thanks, Fabs. I'll definitely tell Stan hi for you. Nice site you have here.
Welcome, Christina
I think today we have to accept the perches that the birds choose as they are a part of their habitat that we've created. You've captured a beautiful hawk with excellent detail. The background is very complimentary to him as well. I personally like the lighting on him....rather dramatic and really adds to the mood. Well done.
Beautiful shot!
Hi Christina,
I like the dramatic side lighing on this Hawk. It creates a nice moody feeling to the image. Very nice bg too. Well done!
Hi Christina great to see you here. Wonderful image you posted of the RSH with superb lighting and I especially like the pose and serious look. As mentioned a very dramatique image and beautifully captured !!!
Happy New Year to you and Stan !!
