I worked on this image this morning for quite awhile. If I remember correctly, I did a radial / spin blur on everything but the stamen/pistol and then added a little gaussian blur at the end, again - masking off the stamen/pistol area.

Very pretty, you spent your time well, I might have tapered off the top right corner a little more so that it wasn't such a large solid color, however that could be a jepg thing going on and I just can't see the gradient from your yellows to the darker color. Very nice though
Rod, you're right...there is a bit more color definition in the original but I think you're also right that it could use a little more. Thanks for the second pair of eyes!
Julie, I think this is gorgeous!! Agree w/ comment. The colors are really special.
GOrgeous image Julie.
I have no hope in he11 with blurs. :o:o:o:o:o

As always.....another wonderful macro image. I'm a big fan of yours. I even went out and cut come wild day lilies to experiment with. Such a great plan.....until one of my cats bit the flowers off the stem. Oh well....it's the thought that counts and I have yours to admire.
Thanks everyone...
Lana, that's too funny! I have two dogs that have been known to ruin an image or two as well so I feel your pain!
