Bosque

I'm actually glad that the weather is terrible right now as it gives me an excuse to play more with the Topaz filters. Sometimes I like to have it look exaggerated and other times just have more subtle changes......not obviously manipulated but a hint of change. I think that's been my biggest challenge.....choosing what to do and how much. I'm rather excited about all this as I normally only photograph birds. This time of year I have time to shoot....but the weather is hot and the birds are nesting. Now I can go out and photograph interesting things.....or just about anything and see what can be created from it.

This image was taken at Bosque. It was a foggy morning and I was just playing with some landscape images.

RAW conversion, topaz simplify (and a few other tweaks that I've lost track of), USM, levels

Very lovely painterly effect that works very well with the colors. The colors in the sky are a perfect complement to the yellows in the trees.
Very well done. You should play more often, I still remember one you did years ago with the ice :)

This has the landscape painting feel that I absolutely admire. You did really well. As Fabs said the complementary colors are superb.

Nice use of Topaz Lana, and great colour palette Reminds me of a pastel/watercolour. Very pleasing to the eye.
