Took this last year. After converting to B&W, I added a greenish tone to the fly and a reddish tone to the ground to give it sort of a martian feel. Any C&C are welcome!

Interesting use of shadows Christopher :) Certainly looks like it is from another world. Just to see what it looked like I rotated it 90 degrees clockwise so that the fly faced to the left and the shadow was below and thought it had more impact ?
Tell
Christopher, Has a real sci-fi look to it! I like Tell's idea of a rotation. Actually the beauty of this image is it could work any way you rotated it! I like the shadow on a diagonal.
Christopher, Good eye on this and well handled. Wonder what it would look like in B&W

Thanks for the comments! Here it is rotated 90 degrees CW as Tell suggested.

And just for the heck of it, I tried rotating it 90 degrees CCW too. Now I'm not sure which version I like best! LOL! Thanks for the suggestion!
Christopher, I think I like the fly at the top right-his eye stands out more-Interesting image, very versatile!
Like the second rotation Christopher, and also like the idea of using another filter to make it look more menacing. Maybe B and W as Dave suggests, solarize, just some ideas.
awesome use of the shadow! i like the last repost best. it makes the shadow the main subject.
Thanks for the comments! I'll keep playing with this and see what other versions I can come up with!
