Took this shot at Alcatraz prison in San Francisco. It is part of the old original fort with the bricks before it became known as the infamous prison. I like the contrast of the shadows formed by the bars. Put through Cross-Processing, and then Polaroid Transfer in NIK Color Efex 3.0.

Jackie, Really nice effect w/ Color Efex. The shadow lines are interesting and mix well with the brick lines. The door is placed nicely in the frame. Well done.

Hi Jackie, The play on shadows and the color hue make this an interesting image!

Jackie - nice image. I like the contrast of the vertical shadows and the horizontal lines in the brick and concrete. And of course, the color.

Just a clarification ...
How long did you spend at Alcatraz?
Why were you in there?
Inquiring minds wish to know! ;) :D

Inquiring minds shall know Mark! I went on a two week vacation to S. California of which Alcatraz was part. Don't think I'd ever want to stay:), it is a really inhospitable place, in and out, but if you are in that area I would highly recommend the tour (self-guided audio). Many escape attempts were made but none survived the icy cold waters of the San Francisco Bay, which also has many sharks!

the shadows combined with the real bars really make this one Jackie.
The cool colors depict the inhospitableness(is that a word?)
