Lite-weight tripod head

In a previous post, I asked if anyone had experience with the Giotto MN 1302 tripod head that Artie promotes. Only received one response about Giotto products in general and it wasn't positive.

So, the question is, what might be a good choice for a head that's lighter weight than my RRS BH-55. I want something easy to use and relatively lite-weight for my wife's macro/close-up work. She has a Manfrotto Neo-tech Pro tripod which allows the center column to be removed and oriented horizontally. I'm considering the RRS BH-40 or one of the Markins heads - perhaps the Q3 or Q10. I have no experience with Markins. Any recommendations/thoughts??

Roger I would recommend that head for occational use only. It is very small and not in the same league as the RRS BH-40 btw it fits in a shirt pocket !!!

Roger I use the Giotto MH-1001 and the MH 200 quick release plate on both my Giotto MM 9950 Monopod and My Manfrotto tripod for a couple of years now and have had no trouble with it.

I use in in salt water both on my tripod and monopod and just clean it with warm water and it is fine.

I've had excellent results over time with an Acratech "Ultimate" head... very lightweight, holds a lot of weight, and zero creep.
